How does one work through such an event? Firstly it’s important to examine ones belief structures as this is often the cause of such dilemmas. Taught to us from a young age, sometimes generations of generations old, it is difficult to disassemble and dematerialize belief structures. Through analysis you will find many beliefs to be false or your perception of them false. Culminating in frustration and anger which overwhelms and ensues into more grief as you mourn what was or maybe what was never there. This is where most of us stop or get stuck. At this point it becomes imperative to move into non-judgement and to see things contextually. To do this re-search needs to happen.
It is time to look into all things that created your belief structures. This is a daunting experience to undertake but it is possible to find the facts and actual truth. It starts with questioning your perception and thinking, going to a place of repentance. Repentance is not a word to be afraid of nor is a word of condemnation.
"The word translated as ‘repentance’ is the Greek word μετάνοια (metanoia), “after/behind one’s mind”, which is a compound word of the preposition ‘meta’ (after, with), and the verb ‘noeo’ (to perceive, to think, the result of perceiving or observing). In this compound word the preposition combines the two meanings of time and change, which may be denoted by ‘after’ and ‘different'; so that the whole compound means: ‘to think differently after’. Metanoia is therefore primarily an after-thought, different from the former thought; a change of mind and change of conduct, “change of mind and heart”, or, “change of consciousness”.
Through this process of repentance you change your mind. Be careful old belief structures have a funny way of resurfacing. These patterns can come-up again and again. The best way to recognize this is to listen to your body (this is your physical connection to this material realm animated by your spirit, this gives you an amazing tool to gauge what is going on). Coupled with the process of self-monitoring your thoughts and asking the questions, is this thought based in separation and fear or, is this thought based in love and unity? You can begin to climb out of the rabbit hole.
Re-search will lead to knowledge which will lead to more questions and more re-search. Take to a period of observation and collecting information. Afterwards you must to do something with what you have learned. It’s now time for re-building your structure. During this process you may discover your structure is crumbling needing renovation. Go back to the drawing board, then if it keeps falling down chances are the foundation is shaky. Your problems lay deep in the sub-conscious. It must be dug up and out-rooted before you can re-build. This is very important! A weak foundation or structure will cause you to become disoriented pulling you, energetically and physically, in many directions. There are many tools and techniques to unravel the matrix and extract these false beliefs. It is essential to take a holistic approach towards the mind, body and spirit to achieved full integration. Now the power!
Perhaps you grew up with a belief in something greater. Perhaps you grew up with no belief in something greater. Honestly it makes no “matter” literally. The fact is all humanity at one time or another understood that there is a universal power that exists, its name is unknowable and words cannot describe its personality. It is intelligent and real. It will always push you to interact with it, God that it is. Now if the word God disturbs you then perhaps it’s a real good indicator to look at your belief systems and what they say about that word “God” are they based in separation and fear or, are they based in love and unity?

One of my favourite cards in Tarot is the Death card. Not that I have some morbid fascination with death (perhaps this explains how I married a metal head). In truth I'm fascinated by life and love all its attributes entirely, the good and the bad. Seeing the Death card appear in a reading is cause for excitement as I know something important is in the works. It's the messenger telling you to prepare...to process...to purify and let-go.
The Egyptians had a deep understanding of this concept leaving many scholars to surmise that they were a culture obsessed with death. This makes no sense considering the monumental works of art and architecture produced over such a long stretch of time.
This knowledge of death has been forgotten. Often we become seduced into thinking that death is bad or evil. Our ego takes to hold trying to grasp at everything we have, from a memento given to us in school - to a pair of jeans sitting in the closet - to an old picture of you and a past love. We fear losing connection and of completely letting-go, in return we end-up filling our lives with things that no longer serve us. This fills up space physically, mentally, emotionally and spiritually. Unfortunately we see death as traumatic and habitually avoid it at all costs. We do not know nor are we taught how to allow things to die.
There are processes involved in letting death happen. Often death requires a sacrifice. This is the idea and thought behind the ancient practice of regicide (the act of killing a king) to bring healing and blessing to the people and the land. Obviously it is not practiced today but it's important to take a moment and consider the effects of such an act. The willingness to die, the preparation required, the moment of sacrifice and letting go, then there's the adjustment phase and finally the joyous arrival of a new king or in the case of Christianity the resurrection of a king returning in full glory. We only need to take a small fraction of this and apply it to our lives to see astounding results
Recognize and Be Willing To Let Things Die
I recognize there is a period of death
and rebirth taking place
I am willing to accept and partake in the process
Begin the Preparation to Let Go
I gather all that I was and who I think myself to be
Make Your Personal Sacrifice
I release and put to rest the past
and everything I have created
I let it go
Take the Time to Mourn
I remember and celebrate what was
I give thanks for what has taken place
Await the Arrival
I have honoured the rite and passage of death
I await the newness and rebirth of life
The New Beginning
I give glory to the process of life and move forward with gratitude
